Matthieu Simard’s The Country Will Bring Us No Peace, coming from Coach House Books in September 2019, is the story of a loving couple who leaves the city behind to overcome an unnameable grief. The French-language original, Ici, Ailleurs, was published to acclaim by Éditions Alto in 2017.

Olivier Dufault’s Benediction, coming from House of Anansi in September 2019,  retells the tall but “true” story of Ernest Dufault, a young Quebecer who struck out in the early 1900s to make his fortune out West, and became, under assumed name Will James, a cowpuncher, cattle rustler, popular artist and beloved author of such classics as Lone Cowboy. Originally released by Le Marchand de feuilles in 2017.
